The Client

Client Summary

CommUnity Construction is a  refugee-owned and managed social enterprise providing training and employment for refugees and asylum seekers in the construction industry

Brief Summary

A complete rebrand of ‘Nick Tiling’ was required for the business to be a credible national player, targeting bigger clients in the built environment and providing more services in order to help more refugees gain employment.

The Solution

brandkind led the rebrand including positioning strategy, brand identity, website and collateral development with a broad team of professionals including Irma del Mundo (lead strategist), Rohan Cain (lead designer), Sam d’ Souza (comms strategist) with more on-going support for the last 4 years across the marketing spectrum from the broader community including Alex Koutts, Mari Frank and Martha Gonzalez (design, marketing and social media specialists).

Hedayat 'Nick' Osyan

Founder and CEO

Brandkind, especially Irma Del Mundo, helped me pick the name, do all the marketing, branding, design the website, social media strategy and engage with our customers. Irma took the responsibility to rebrand my business from Nick tiling to CommUnity Construction.

She helped me from scratch up to where we are today which we trained and employed 90 refugees, and helped 4 of them set-up their own companies.”

“Building a brand for Community Construction was deeply rewarding because it allowed me to create meaningful impact through my branding skillset. Seeing the brand become a symbol of reliability and quality in the community that helps refugees find employment and develop their craft gave a deep sense of fulfillment. All credit to Nick and the team, they have created an amazing business concept.”
