FAQ

Questions from social enterprises

What is brandkind?

brandkind is a community of experienced brand and marketing professionals, applying their expertise through a model of talent philanthropy. We connect purpose-led organisations with the support they need to strengthen their brand, marketing and communications, through low-bono and occasional pro bono opportunities.

What makes brandkind different from an agency?

We operate as a curated community, not a traditional agency. This means you access experienced specialists matched to your needs, with more of your budget going directly to the work.

How much does this cost?

We provide low bono support, offering high-quality, carefully scoped support at significantly reduced rates. From time to time, our community also offers pro bono opportunities, which are shared through our quarterly newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/brandkindcommunity/se-subscripe-page

Can you work with limited budgets?

We design our work to be accessible through low-bono pricing and clear scope. If budget is a constraint, we’ll help prioritise where support will have the most impact.

How do I know if I’m eligible?

We work with social enterprises, charities and purpose-led organisations. Eligibility for specific projects depends on alignment, readiness, and available community capacity. If you’re unsure, we encourage you to start a conversation with us: www.brandkindcommunity.com/contact

What’s the difference between pro bono and low-bono?

Low-bono work is our core model, providing professional brand and marketing support at reduced rates. Pro bono opportunities are limited and offered at no cost, based on availability from our community. Both include a modest administrative fee for operational costs.

How can I access pro bono opportunities?

Pro bono support is shared periodically through our newsletter, based on availability from our community availability. Subscribe to stay informed.

How are you able to offer accessible rates?

Our model is built on talent philanthropy. We work with a curated network of experienced professionals who contribute their time at reduced rates, allowing us to deliver high-quality support in a way that is both accessible and sustainable.

Do you make logos and taglines?

Our work goes beyond logos. While we love logos, we provide brand strategy, positioning, visual identity systems, and messaging, ensuring your brand is clear, consistent and ready to be applied across all touchpoints.

Do you build websites or manage social media?

Yes. Our community delivers website design, digital and marketing systems, and ongoing content and social media support, all tailored to your needs and stage of growth.

How does the process work?

We start by understanding your organisation, goals and priorities. From there, we scope the work and bring together the right people from our community to deliver it, with clear timelines, deliverables and collaboration throughout. If you’ve worked with an agency model before, it’s very similar - but we operate extremely lean to keep our prices as low as possible.

Can you support us long term?

Yes. Many organisations continue working with us across different stages, from strategy through to ongoing marketing and capability support. We also offer retainer models for organisations that need consistent, ongoing access to brand and marketing expertise.

How are projects prioritised or selected?

We prioritise projects based on alignment, readiness, and available community capacity. Not all requests can be supported immediately, but we aim to be transparent throughout the process.

Would you work with for-profit companies on community projects?

Yes. While our focus is on supporting social enterprises and purpose-led organisations, we do work with corporates and investors through partnerships and talent philanthropy, connecting them to meaningful opportunities to support the sector.

Ready to build a brand that drives impact?

brandkind connects you with a curated network of experienced marketing professionals, delivering strategic, high-quality support designed to help purpose-led organisations scale.
