The Client

Client Summary
Started in 1999 at our terrace in Kings Cross, Lou’s Place is a unique, community-based refuge for women in crisis, feeling isolated or needing support.
Most of the women who visit Lou’s Place have experienced multiple traumas in their lives and the majority are facing issues of homelessness, domestic violence, mental health or addiction.
Brief Summary
To honour the victims of Domestic and Family Violence, Lou’s Place organised “Unite Against Violence: No More Empty Shoes” in collaboration with NSW Vigil Collective held on Tuesday, 26 November 2024. The goal of this advocacy is to raise community awareness, broaden conversations, and raise funds to support the salaries of two dedicated DFV case workers at Lou’s. We are actively seeking sponsorship and deeply appreciate those who have already joined us for 2024.
The Solution
brandkinders Lucienne Pacifique and Luisa Scoppa pulled together a social media strategy and calendar together with creative designs to increase awareness of the upcoming event.

“Designing for Lou’s Place through Brandkind was one of those projects that reminds me why I do what I do. It was an honour to visually capture the strength, safety and sisterhood this community offers. Working with the Brandkind team made it all feel smooth and purposeful from start to finish.”
